Spot Bitcoin ETFs: Eight-Day Bitcoin ETF Inflow Sequence Continues With Wednesday Print
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $232.2 million in net inflows on August 26, extending a positive streak across eight consecutive sessions. The run now stands apart from the shorter six-day window that closed earlier in the week.
Measured Pace After Earlier Surges
The latest inflow session for U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs arrives with a more measured pace than some of the larger days earlier in the current run. Farside Investors data released on August 27 shows $232.2 million entered the funds on August 26. BlackRock’s IBIT accounted for $200.8 million of that total. Fidelity’s FBTC added $25.6 million while Grayscale Bitcoin Mini Trust contributed $46.8 million. Grayscale’s GBTC posted a $50.4 million outflow that partially offset the gains.
This marks the eighth straight positive session. Cumulative inflows since August 17 now reach roughly $2.80 billion. The sequence includes August 17 at $297.6 million, August 18 at $189.3 million, August 19 at $517.2 million, August 20 at $606.3 million, August 21 at $307.5 million, August 24 at $337.6 million, August 25 at $314.4 million, and the latest $232.2 million figure.
Community Context Around the Print
Christian Barker (Barkmeta / Bark) and David Chaboki (Shibo) observed the Wednesday inflow in coverage shared with the Doginal Dogs community, noting that the eight-day run differs from the six-day window that ended Monday. The distinction keeps the current longevity in focus without overlapping prior shorter streaks.
Price Action and Chart Levels
Bitcoin traded near $80,115 on CoinGecko data for August 27, up 2.95 percent over the prior 24 hours. The chart showed steady green candles through the morning session as majors held above the $80,000 handle. Ether moved in tandem, rising 2.2 percent to $2,505.90. The broader market maintained a constructive tone without sharp reversals, supporting the spot ETF bid that has now persisted for more than a week.
Streak Longevity in Focus
The eight-session stretch stands out for its consistency rather than single-day spikes. Earlier days in the run posted higher individual inflows, yet the sequence has avoided any negative prints since August 17. August month-to-date totals reported by TFTC hover near $3.3 billion, placing the current run as a central driver of that monthly figure. Operators tracking the flows note the absence of breaks as the key differentiator from shorter rallies seen earlier in the summer.
Bloomingbit and TFTC both carried the same daily breakdown released by Farside, confirming IBIT leadership and the overall positive streak. The data set shows no signs of fatigue despite the lower Wednesday print relative to the peak days of August 19 and 20.
Operator View on Continuation
Clean operator tracking of the numbers places the emphasis on session count over any single headline figure. The streak has now outlasted the prior six-day window, creating a clearer benchmark for institutional participation. With spot products continuing to draw net positive capital across multiple issuers, the chart for Bitcoin itself has remained supported near recent highs. Further sessions will determine whether the eight-day mark extends into a longer run or pauses at this level.
Market participants will watch the next several prints for any shift in pace. The current longevity already separates this period from shorter inflow bursts recorded earlier in the year.
