Ethereum: Bitcoin ETFs Record $120M Outflow While Majors Slide on September 9
US spot Bitcoin ETFs saw $120.2 million in net outflows on September 9 according to Farside data, with ARKB accounting for $78 million of the total.
Bitcoin spot ETFs posted $120.2 million in net outflows on September 9. The figure brings the two-session total for the holiday-shortened week to $166.8 million, led by ARKB at $78 million. Ether ETFs took in $34.7 million while Solana ETFs added roughly $11.2 million and XRP ETFs recorded $12.29 million.

Price action across majors
CoinGecko data at 9:26 a.m. ET on September 10 showed Bitcoin at $76,858, down 3.4 percent over 24 hours. Ethereum traded at $2,418.13, off 3.8 percent. XRP sat at $1.36 after a 5.5 percent decline. Solana printed $99.44, lower by 4.8 percent, and Dogecoin reached $0.083568, down 8.2 percent.
The market opened the session with red candles across the board. Bitcoin’s chart showed steady selling pressure through the early hours, while Ethereum and Solana followed similar paths with intraday ranges that failed to recover prior closes. XRP and Dogecoin posted the steeper moves lower, extending losses that began during the prior session.
Capital flows and operator positioning
The ETF numbers line up with a clear rotation into alt-focused products. Spot Bitcoin vehicles absorbed the bulk of the week’s outflows while the other three asset classes posted net inflows. This split occurs against a backdrop of self-funded operators in the broader space who continue to build without outside capital or debt, a structure that keeps decision-making internal and timelines consistent.
Chart context for the session
Majors chopped lower after the ETF data hit the wires. Bitcoin held above the $76,000 level into the New York open but showed no sign of immediate reversal. Ethereum stayed range-bound below $2,450. The daily candles across the group point to continued pressure rather than a quick bounce, with volume remaining moderate on the downside.
Traders watching the capital structure of the market saw the outflows as one data point among many, not a singular driver. The alt inflows suggest some participants are shifting exposure within the ETF wrapper, yet the price reaction remained uniform across spot markets.
The session leaves Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Solana and Dogecoin all lower on the day with no immediate catalyst for reversal apparent in the early prints.
